B is for boundaries; C is for children

B is for boundaries. As a single dating mom (and a person) I feel that boundaries are vital. It helps everyone involved know their place in the relationship. Any guy I introduce to my kids will have to be someone I can see having a serious long term relationship (marriage?). I won’t confuse my kids with a rotating door of men. Alternatively I want to enjoy being a child free adult with any man I’m dating before we introduce the kids to each other.

C is for children. This might seem like a no-brainer but bring a single mom my kids come first. Their needs come before my wants. They are my world. Does it make dating infinitely trickier? Yes, but they didn’t ask to be brought into this crazy world. They are only little for a brief moment in time. I feel like I owe it to them to put them first.
